About me
Welcome. Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone.
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space in Southend where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, experiencing anxiety or low mood, dealing with loss, or finding life difficult to navigate, I am here to support you.

I am a qualified therapist with over 40 years of experience as an NHS nurse, alongside time spent serving in the Royal Navy. These experiences have shaped my calm, compassionate, and grounded approach, enabling me to support people through a wide range of life challenges.
My qualifications include CPCAB Levels 2 and 3 in Counselling Skills and Studies, and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am currently undertaking further training in trauma-informed counselling. I am a registered member of the NCPS and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
I work using an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to suit your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My work is primarily grounded in person-centred therapy, alongside elements of CBT, transactional analysis, and psychotherapeutic principles. This allows our work together to remain flexible and focused on what feels most helpful for you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out, we can explore things together at your own pace.
I offer 50-minute sessions in Southend, as well as online sessions if preferred. A limited number of concession spaces are available and offered on a discretionary basis.
Above all, I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. I aim to provide a down-to-earth, respectful space where you can feel understood, be yourself, and begin to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
